Technology is the way of completing some task. In Nepal there are traditional technologies from early period. People have used different technologies in local level. Technologies are very simple in local areas of the country.
Some of the common technologies in rural areas are water mill, wooden equipments in agriculture, local distillation method to manufacture alcohol and so many other simple technologies. With these simple local technologies the Nepali people are not able to compete with other worldwide modern technologies.
Technology is one of the important factor to develop the nation in the present world. But Nepal has very weak and simple tool. It is not able to promote and upgrade the tools and equipments available there in the country. Large number of people use such traditional tools with which they never progress.
The local technology of Nepal is not bad bad but it is needed to upgrade according to the changing time. If the people can give continuity to their tool by upgrading them these are very good for environment as well as other factor. However there is lack of ideas in Nepali people to promote their own tools. Instead of this they follow the techniques followed by others and give more emphasis to them.
